The lecture was about Atlantic Slave Trade. The lecture was a presentation of City College of New York - York College’s History department. The lecture was presented by Dr. Nicholas Ghituku, who has a PhD in African American Slave Trade and Black Literature in Africa. The lecture was happened on Thursday, November 2nd from 2-6 pm. I learned about the harsh quality of life that slaves had to go through when they were transported from Africa to the Americas. The slaves were thought of as property and not as human beings. Masters could put price on these Africans based on their physical attributes, specifically body strength, etc as they were transported from place to place.
